Thorsten Luedtke

Thorsten Luedtke has built Business Intelligence applications since 1997 (as MicroStrategy employee) and presented the BI concept at various DSS (Decision Support Systems) conferences.

Starting in 1999 Thorsten used BIW 1.2B and Acta Technology (now SAP BusinessObjects, SBO) to build the first RapidMarts® by joining data from thousands of SAP R/3 tables.

From 2002 to 2005 he worked as BI consultant and BW trainer for SAP Deutschland AG & Co. KG and SAP UK Ltd. on various projects in Germany and the UK.

In 2006 he started a joint-venture with Bill Inmon as advisory board member and presented its results (BI Master Data Management) at the SAPPHIRE 2007 conference in Vienna, Austria. This event launched BIPortal as a company.

Attending the 2013 Strata conference in London he decided to focus on data products as it builds on his background in mathematical optimization, machine learning and economics.

Thorsten earned a master's degree magna-cum-laude in Information Systems at the Braunschweig University of Technology, Germany. He is the author of SAP BW/4HANA.

Phil Dreyer



Phil is an outstanding engineer and has built clustered computers and all kinds of appliances for more than a decade.

At BIPortal he heads up the data sensing lab providing Ambient Intelligence built on standards of the Internet of Things (IoT).

Currently he is investigating in-store motion capturing, 3D printing and augmented reality (AR) applications like e.g. real-time offers.

Phil earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, Germany.
